This page explains how AC Plant & Turf collects mobile phone numbers, how we use SMS (text messaging) to communicate with you, the choices you have regarding our messages, and how we protect the information you share with us. It is provided in addition to, and is part of, our overall Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions, and is designed to comply with the A2P 10DLC requirements set by U.S. mobile carriers (T‑Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon) and the messaging principles published by the CTIA.

1. Privacy Policy — SMS Provisions

1.1 How we collect your phone number

We collect your mobile phone number only when you voluntarily provide it to us — for example, when you request an estimate through our website, schedule a tree or shrub care service, complete a contact form, or speak with one of our crew members or office staff. Providing a mobile number for SMS communication is always optional, and consent to receive text messages is never a condition of receiving services from AC Plant & Turf.

1.2 How we use your information

Information we collect — including your name, address, mobile phone number, and the property details you share with us — is used to schedule and deliver tree and shrub care services, to communicate with you about your account and appointments, to respond to inquiries, to process payments, and (only with your separate consent) to send you marketing messages about seasonal services, promotions, and reminders.

1.3 Information sharing — no marketing disclosures

AC Plant & Turf does not sell, rent, lease, or share your personal information — including your mobile phone number — with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

We share information with service providers only to the extent needed to operate our business and deliver the services you request. Examples include payment processors, scheduling and routing software (such as our service-management platform), our SMS messaging aggregator, and professional advisors.

Required exclusion clause

Text messaging originator opt‑in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the text message services. All other categories of information sharing exclude SMS opt‑in data and consent; that information is never shared with any third party for marketing or promotional purposes.

1.4 Our messaging program

If you provide your mobile number and opt in, AC Plant & Turf may send you the following types of text messages:

  • Service notifications — appointment confirmations, scheduling changes, “on‑the‑way” arrival texts from your crew, and follow‑up notes after a visit.
  • Account and transactional messages — invoice notifications, payment confirmations, estimate updates, and replies to your inquiries.
  • Marketing messages (only with separate, explicit opt‑in) — seasonal service reminders, promotional offers, and care tips.

1.5 Message frequency

Message frequency varies based on your account activity and the services you receive. Typical frequency is approximately up to 3 messages per scheduled appointment and no more than 5 messages per month for service-related communications, and up to 4 messages per month for marketing communications when you have opted in.

1.6 Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from AC Plant & Turf and to us from you, depending on your wireless plan. Please contact your wireless provider with questions about your plan.

2. SMS Terms & Conditions

The following terms apply to your participation in the AC Plant & Turf SMS messaging program. By providing your mobile number and checking the consent box on any of our forms (or by texting one of our keywords to our published number), you agree to these terms.

2.1 Program name and description

Program: AC Plant & Turf Customer Messaging.

Description: A two‑way SMS program operated by AC Plant & Turf, a tree and shrub care company serving Delaware. The program is used to deliver appointment confirmations, scheduling notifications, “crew‑on‑the‑way” arrival texts, account and invoice notifications, replies to your customer service inquiries, and — with your separate opt‑in — seasonal service reminders and promotional messages.

2.2 Standard SMS commands

The following standard keywords are supported and will work at any time:

Keyword What it does
STOP Unsubscribes you from all AC Plant & Turf text messages. After you send STOP, we will send a single confirmation text and you will not receive further SMS from us. To rejoin, text START to our number.
CANCEL Same as STOP — unsubscribes you from all AC Plant & Turf text messages.
START Re‑subscribes you to AC Plant & Turf text messages after a previous opt‑out.
HELP Returns a help message with our customer-care contact information.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. SMS service availability and message delivery are not guaranteed and depend on your wireless carrier and your device.

Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from AC Plant & Turf and to us from you. Message frequency varies. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, please contact your wireless provider.

3. How You Opt In

You give consent to receive text messages from AC Plant & Turf only by taking an explicit, affirmative step — typically by checking an unchecked consent box on a form on our website where you provide your phone number, or by texting a keyword to our published number. SMS consent is always optional, is never required to submit a form or to receive services, and is never bundled with consent for any other purpose.

4. How to Opt Out

You can opt out of AC Plant & Turf text messages at any time:

  1. Reply STOP (or CANCEL) to any text message you receive from us. We will send a single confirmation message and you will not receive further SMS from us.

If you opt out of marketing messages but remain a customer with active services, you may continue to receive service and transactional messages (such as appointment confirmations) unless you also opt out of those by replying STOP or contacting us.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this SMS Policy & Consent page from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last Updated” date at the top. Material changes to how we use your mobile phone number will be communicated to you in advance where required by law.
